The Stuart Sailfish Club proudly presents the 72nd Annual Light Tackle Sailfish Tournament, one of the longest-running and most prestigious events in Florida sportfishing. This catch-and-release tournament celebrates over seven decades of tradition, camaraderie, and conservation in the Sailfish Capital of the World.
The event kicks off on Wednesday, December 17th, with the Captain’s Meeting at The Pearl, followed by three eligible fishing days—December 18th, 19th, and 20th. Each team selects two of the three fishing days to compete. Anglers will target sailfish using 20lb test or lighter, in strict accordance with IGFA rules, emphasizing ethical, skill-driven fishing.
Competitors vie for top honors including:
- Top Boat Overall & Daily
- Top Captain, Crew, and Member Boat
- Top Lady and Junior Angler
- Heaviest Meatfish (mahi, wahoo, tuna, kingfish)
All are welcome—members and non-members alike—to compete for cash prizes, trophies, and yearlong bragging rights.
For those not fishing, the All-Access Pass offers entry to all the fun onshore: live music, open bars, a raw bar, weigh-station activities, and the Braggin’ Bash and Awards Banquet—a highlight of the season.
Early Bird Entry Fees thru December 7:
- Members: $3,000
- Non-Members: $3,250
- Additional Anglers: $750 each
Regular Entry Fees after December 7:
- Members: $3,500
- Non-Members: $3,750
- Additional Anglers: $750 each
